WBA Regular lightweight champion Gervonta Davis, who is scheduled to fight Dominican-born Hector Garcia on January 7, was arrested on domestic violence charges.
According to the police, the boxer was arrested in Florida Tuesday night and is still in custody.
Davis, 28, had his last fight against Rolando Romero in May 2022. That confrontation ended with a sixth-round knockout victory for Gervonta. Last December, Davis defeated Isaac Cruz by unanimous decision. He has 27 wins (25 by knockout) and no losses.
