Former unified lightweight champion, Australian boxer George Kambosos, will headline a boxing event in March in Australia, as reported by Boxing News 24.
Kambosos's opponent has not yet been revealed, but earlier, the head of the Matchroom Boxing promotional company, Eddie Hearn, stated that this fight would mark George's debut in the welterweight division, and that his opponent would be one of the top 15 boxers in the division.
Kambosos last fought in May 2024, losing to Vasiliy Lomachenko by technical knockout in the 11th round in a bout for the IBO and IBF lightweight titles. His record stands at 21 wins (10 by knockout) and 3 losses.
