Garcia Suspended From WBC Fights Due To Racist Comments

Famous American boxer Ryan Garcia is excluded from the World Boxing Council (WBC). This was announced by the president of the organization Mauricio Sulaiman.

According to the Associated Press, Garcia repeatedly used racial slurs against black people and humiliated Muslims on social networks.

Mauricio Sulaiman
I am hereby expelling Ryan Garcia from any activity with our organization. We reject any form of discrimination. I fear for (Ryan's) well-being as he has declined multiple attempts for our help with mental health and substance abuse.

Garcia last fought against Devin Haney in April of this year in Brooklyn. Ryan initially won that fight by majority decision. However, he was subsequently disqualified for a year for a failed doping test, and the result of his fight with Haney was canceled. Garcia has 24 wins (20 by knockout) and one loss in his professional boxing career.
