Famous American boxer Ryan Garcia has signed up for a drug test with the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA). This announcement was made on social media by journalist Lance Pugmire.
This move is the last step towards his planned series of three fights. The boxer is expected to return to the ring in May this year, with his first opponent set to be former world champion in the super light weight division Rolando Romero.
Garcia fought his last match against Devin Haney in April 2024. Initially, Ryan won that bout by a majority decision. However, he was later disqualified for a year due to a failed drug test, and the result of his fight with Haney was nullified.
Garcia made his professional debut against Mario Antonio Macias. That fight, which ended in the first round, concluded with a knockout victory for Ryan. His professional boxing record stands at 24 wins (20 by knockout) and one loss.
