John Fury, father of British boxer Tyson Fury, has spoken out about his son's training ahead of his world heavyweight title fight against Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk on February 17 in Saudi Arabia.
John Fury
I never said my son was in decline. He’s not. But I said the people around him are not in the best shape. His side needs adjustments. Now , it is no longer a camp, but a circus. Usyk has disciplined personnel on his team. But Tyson doesn’t have that. Yes, I’m worried before the fight with Usyk. Tyson could lose if he doesn’t make adjustments.
Fury's last fight was against Francis Ngannou in October this year. In this confrontation Tyson won by split decision of judges. He has 34 wins (24 by knockout), one draw and no losses.
Usyk last entered the ring against Daniel Dubois in August this year. Oleksandr won that fight by knockout in the ninth round. He has 21 wins (14 by knockout) without a single defeat.
