WBC World Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury reacted to former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney's comments about his achievements in boxing.
Tyson Fury, quoted by talkSPORT
Wayne Rooney is a real legend. I grew up watching him play for England and Manchester United. It was great to hear him say that. He's a big fan of boxing, he's also from a boxing family. So hopefully we'll have a little sparring sometime in the future. I need someone smaller to prepare for Usyk.
Earlier, Rooney said that Tyson is a legend and the best heavyweight in the world and he has to be knighted.
Fury had his last fight against his compatriot Derek Chisora on December 4. In this fight Tyson won by TKO in the tenth round. He had 33 wins (24 by TKO) and one draw.
Rooney played for England for 15 years (2003-2018) and for Manchester United for 13 (2004-2017). The player has been at Derby since January 2020. The English forward scored seven goals in 36 games for the team.
