Fury Hints At Possible Retiring

British boxer Tyson Fury, former WBC heavyweight world champion, has spoken about the possible retirement after his defeat to Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.

On May 19 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Usyk defeated Fury by a split decision to become the undisputed world heavyweight champion.

The Guardian quoted Fury as saying:

I can't see myself hanging around for the next five years, never mind 20 years. I've given a lot to this game. I gave all my youth and young adult life. I've got to have some time to be me. All the things I've done and all the accolades and money I've earned? I've got to have time to enjoy them. It's only a short life, innit? We're here today, gone tomorrow. Life is short, isn't it? We're here today, gone tomorrow.

The 35-year-old Fury previously stepped into the ring in October 2023, beating Francis Ngannou by split decision. He has 34 wins (24 by knockout), one draw and one defeat on his record.

Usyk, 37, had his previous fight in August 2023, defeating Daniel Dubois by knockout in the ninth round. He has 22 wins (14 by knockout) without a single defeat on his record.
