Former super middleweight world champion turned commentator Carl Froch spoke about the undisputed heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk.
Recall, on May 19 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury by split decision.
Froch said in an interview with talkSPORT:
He's got nothing to prove. He's beaten AJ twice, he's now beaten Tyson Fury. He is the generational great for me. In my opinion, he should retire, he's done everything he needs to do, he's made enough money, he's mastered the game, he's completed boxing. When I retired I was nearly 37. Usyk is at that age where I know how you feel in training camp and how you feel in round seven and eight.
Usyk, 37, had his previous fight in August 2023, defeating Daniel Dubois by knockout in the ninth round. He has 22 wins (14 by knockout) without a single defeat on his record.
The 35-year-old Fury previously stepped into the ring in October 2023, beating Francis Ngannou by split decision. He has 34 wins (24 by knockout), one draw and one loss.
