Former WBC Сhampion Jacob Passed Away from Lung Cancer

Former WBC super-bantamweight world champion belt holder, French boxer Thierry Jacob has died at the age of 59 from lung cancer.

Jacob last entered the professional ring in May 1994, defeating Edgar Orlando Ballen.

In March 1992, Jacob defeated Daniel Zaragoza by unanimous decision in a fight for the WBC super-bantamweight title. In June of the same year, he faced Tracy Harris Patterson, losing his championship belt by technical knockout in the second round.

Jacob has 39 wins (20 by knockout) and six losses.
