On the night of May 6 at the Gamebred Bareknuckle tournament, former UFC fighter American Roy Nelson had a bare-knuckle fight against his compatriot Dillon Cleckler.
The fight ended with Nelson winning by knockout in the first round.
After the fight, league owner Jorge Masvidal said that Roy Nelson's next opponents could be Junior dos Santos and Fabricio Werdum.
Nelson has not competed since losing to Valentin Moldavsky by unanimous decision at Bellator 244 in August 2020, after which he announced the end of his career. He has 26 wins and 19 losses under his belt.
Cleckler is a professional MMA fighter, but he also has been successful in the BKFC Fist Fighting League. In his last fight, Cleckler knocked out Josh Burns in 80 seconds at Gamebred Boxing 4 this past April.
