Former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya shared his expectations for the upcoming fight between Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou. The bout will headline a boxing event set for March 8 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Middle Easy quotes Adesanya as saying:
Israel Adesanya
I know Francis can fight and he showed in his last boxing fight that he can beat if not the best boxer of this generation or ever. It's not my place to pick a winner. I'm not God. I'm not either of these men. They're going to pick a winner themselves, but I have a weird feeling that you don't want to blink in this fight.
The 34-year-old Joshua last fought against Otto Wallin in December 2023 in Saudi Arabia. In that bout, Anthony secured a technical knockout victory in the fifth round. He has 27 wins (24 by knockout) and three losses.
The 37-year-old Ngannou made his professional ring debut in October 2023. He faced WBC heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury. The fight went the distance and ended with Francis losing by a split decision.
