Former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has revealed what he expects from his fight against Chinese representative Zhilei Zhang, which takes place on 1 June in Saudi Arabia.
Wilder said on Queensberry Promotions' YouTube channel:
He's a great person to make a statement with the calibre he has to show people that I am truly back 'cause when I destroy him, like I know I do it's back to the top I go.
Wilder, 38, last stepped into the ring in December 2023, losing to Joseph Parker by unanimous decision. He has 43 wins (42 by knockout), three losses and one draw on his record.
Zhilei, 40, last fought in March 2024, losing to Joseph Parker by majority decision. He has 26 wins (21 by knockout), two losses and one draw.
