Former world champion in the cruiserweight division Grigory Drozd said in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net that a fight with Terence Crawford poses a risk for Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.
Alvarez is taking a risk. Just like he did when fighting Dmitry Bivol. First of all, you can't compare Crawford to Bivol in terms of size. And Saul’s punch is much stronger. However, in terms of technique, speed, and boxing understanding, I’m not saying I don't see chances... but I do see this as a competitive match.
"Crawford will be the more interesting opponent in this matchup, and I can say with some confidence that he should win the fight. Terence has good height and reach. Alvarez has better power, more muscle in his back and shoulders, but Crawford won't be idle. Saul will have problems with accuracy," Drozd explained.
It's worth noting that Terence Crawford and Saul Alvarez could face off in September 2025. Canelo currently holds a record of 62 wins (39 by knockout), two losses, and two draws. The American fighter boasts 23 wins (nine by knockout) and remains undefeated.
