Former British boxing champion Scott Fitzgerald has been sentenced to 46 weeks in prison after breaking a man's jaw in a fight outside a Preston venue. This was reported by the Daily Express.
Fitzgerald was initially kicked out of the pub and later punched a man who tried to calm him down. The victim had to have a metal plate installed in his jaw.
Fitzgerald had his last fight against Gregory Trenel in May 2021. In that confrontation, Scott won by third-round TKO.
Fitzgerald stepped into the ring in October 2019 against Ted Cheeseman. That bout lasted the entire distance and ended in Scott's favor by a unanimous decision of the judges. He has 15 wins (10 by knockout) and no losses under his belt.
