Lamont Roach Sr., the father and coach of current WBA super featherweight champion Lamont Roach Jr., commented on the rumors that his son’s fight against WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis, scheduled for March 2, might be canceled.

Nothing has changed on our end. We haven’t heard anything. As far as I am concerned, the fight is still on.
Davis last fought against Frank Martin in June of this year. Gervonta won that fight by knockout in the eighth round. His record stands at 30 wins (28 by knockout) and no losses.
Roach last stepped into the ring against Feargal McCrory in June of this year. That fight, which was also stopped in the eighth round, ended in favor of Lamont by technical knockout. His record includes 25 wins (10 by knockout), one loss, and one draw.
