
Former two-weight WBO champion Chris Eubank Sr believes that everything surrounding the upcoming fight between his son and the son of his former rival Nigel Benn is a disgrace to boxing and harms the sport's reputation.
The bout between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn is set to take place on April 26 in London.

So my son, he smashes an egg on the face of Conor. You want me to be associated with... this is what you call legacy? That's not legacy. That is bringing the game of boxing into disrepute. That would have been a disqualifying effect back in my day. No different to the language of Conor. The man speaks like he is possessed, a drunk, from a boxing point of view.
Eubank last fought against Kamil Szeremeta in October 2024, winning by knockout in the seventh round and claiming the vacant IBO middleweight title. His record now stands at 34 wins (25 by knockout) and 3 losses.
Benn last stepped into the ring against Peter Dobson in February 2024, winning that fight by unanimous decision. He boasts a record of 23 wins (14 by knockout) and no losses.
