Famous British promoter Eddie Hearn has stated that former footballer and coach Wayne Rooney has the potential to defeat American blogger and boxer Jake Paul.
It was previously reported that Rooney may soon make his boxing debut.
Hearn told DAZN:
Wayne Rooney against Jake Paul at Old Trafford is a huge event and I back Wayne to win it, he used to box and was actually an amateur. He knows how to look after himself, I think he would like to have a go.
On the night of March 3 in Puerto Rico, Paul will face Ryan Bourland in an 8-round bout. In December 2023, Jake knocked out Andre August. Paul has eight wins (five by knockout) and one loss in his professional career.
