Former WBC interim heavyweight world champion Dillian Whyte has been cleared to continue his career after an investigation confirmed that his positive doping test result was caused by a contaminated supplement.
In August 2023, Whyte tested positive during a random anti-doping protocol and had to withdraw from a fight against Anthony Joshua.

To clear your name - that is the most important thing and that's what we've done. I'm relieved more than anything, but of course I'm angry as well because it's cost me so much. The most important thing is it cost me the chance to beat AJ. Everything else after that is secondary.
The 35-year-old Whyte last fought against Jermaine Franklin in November 2022. The fight went the distance and ended in Dillian's favor by a majority decision. He has 28 wins (19 by knockout) and three losses on his record.
