American Terence Crawford, the holder of the WBO, WBC and WBA Super welterweight titles, said that his next fight will be against his compatriot Errol Spence.
Crawford said in an interview with YouTube channel Fighthype:
We signed to do a rematch and that's what it is. I don’t have a date, but I know that’s the next fight for Terence Crawford. He wants to prove to the world that he can defeat me in a rematch. I take my hat off to him.
Earlier, the International Boxing Federation (IBF) deprived Crawford of the title because of his refusal to conduct a defense against Jaron Ennis.
Recall, the fight between Crawford and Spence, held in July 2023, ended with the victory of Terence by technical knockout in the ninth round. Crawford, 36, has 40 wins (31 by knockout) and no defeats. Spence, 33, has 28 wins (22 by knockout) and one loss.
