Undisputed world middleweight champion Claressa Shields will fight current WBC heavyweight champion Vanessa Lepage-Joanis on July 27 in Detroit.
Shields last fought against Maricela Cornejo in June 2023. In that fight, which went the full distance, Claressa won by unanimous decision of the judges. She has 14 wins (two by knockout) and no losses on her record.
Lepage-Joanis last stepped into the ring against Abril Argentina Vidal in March of this year. That fight lasted the entire distance and ended in favor of Vanessa by split decision. She has seven wins (two by knockout) and one loss.
