Ben Shalom, head of the promotional company BOXXER and representative of former champion Chris Eubank, believes that a fight between the British boxer and current undisputed middleweight champion, Mexico’s Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, could take place in 2025.
Ben Shalom
I genuinely believe that fight will happen next year, either in May or September. Whether in Las Vegas or the UK, Chris is ready for the Canelo fight and hopefully it will happen next year.
A bout between Eubank and Alvarez was initially scheduled for September in Las Vegas, but the two parties could not reach an agreement because Chris demanded a higher sum to return to the ring after a one-year hiatus. As a result, Canelo's opponent was Edgar Berlanga.
Eubank has a record of 33 wins (24 by knockout) and three losses. Alvarez stands with 62 wins (39 by knockout), two losses, and two draws.
