Undisputed world champion in the super middleweight division, Mexican Saul “Canelo” Alvarez commented on his victory in the fight with his compatriot Jaime Munguia.
Alvarez said after the fight:
I'm very proud that all the Mexicans are here watching us. He's a great fighter. He's strong, he's smart. But he's a little slow. I can see every punch. Sometimes he got me because I get so confident.
The fight between Alvarez and Munguia headlined a May 5 boxing night in Las Vegas, USA. Canelo won the fight, which lasted the entire distance, by unanimous decision of the judges and remained the undisputed champion.
Alvarez has 61 wins (39 by knockout), two losses and two draws in professional boxing. Munguia has 43 wins (34 by knockout) and one loss.
