Super middleweight division champion, Mexican boxer Saul Alvarez reacted to the words of his future opponent, Puerto Rican Edgar Berlanga, who earlier promised to knock him out.
The Canelo and Berlanga fight will headline a night of boxing that will take place on September 14 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, USA.
Alvarez said at the press conference:
I’m not going to give him compassion. He needs 20 of him to give me problems. I’m going to change his life with that money. You’re not going to do anything. You’re just going to make me laugh.
Alvarez last stepped into the ring in May 2024, defeating Jaime Munguia by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 61 wins (39 by knockout), two losses and two draws on his record.
Berlanga last fought in February 2024, defeating Padraig McCrory by knockout in the sixth round. He has 22 wins (17 by knockout) and no losses under his belt.
