According to the publication, the best boxer of the past year was Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk. Alongside him, the list included: Artur Beterbiev, Bakhram Murtazaliev, Jesse Rodriguez, Daniel Dubois, Naoya Inoue, Gilberto Ramirez, Oscar Collazo, Junto Nakatani, and Nick Ball.
Usyk last fought against Tyson Fury on December 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this bout, which went the distance, Alexander won by unanimous decision, defending his WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles. His record is 23 wins (14 by knockout) and no losses.
