Boxer Conor Benn Once Again Disqualified In The UK

The British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) appealed the decision of the National Anti-Doping Panel (NADP) to lift the temporary disqualification of British boxer Conor Benn.

Recall that during his preparations for a fight against Chris Eubank Jr., Benn tested positive twice for clomiphene, leading to the cancellation of the bout. Conor was temporarily disqualified until the anti-doping investigation was completed. In July 2023, the NADP's decision to lift his disqualification allowed him to fight again. However, UKAD and BBBofC appealed, leading to the official reversal of the NADP's decision, resulting in Benn's temporary disqualification once again.

According to journalist Dan Rafael, Benn's team expects him to ultimately receive a punishment that will end this fall, and the sports authorities aim to disqualify him until next year.

The 27-year-old Benn last entered the ring in February 2024, defeating Peter Dobson by unanimous decision. He holds 23 victories (14 by knockout) with no losses.
