Dmitry Bivol, the reigning world champion in the light heavyweight division, in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net revealed if he is ready to compete at super middleweight.
Dmitry Bivol exclusively for Telecom Asia Sport
It’s actually something to consider. It would take some time to lose weight and “live” in that division. I’m not ready to take a super middleweight fight in three months. I need a lot more time.
Recall that the weight limit for light heavyweight is 79.3 kg, while for super middleweight, it is 76.2 kg. Currently, the super middleweight division is held by former Bivol opponent, Mexican boxer Saul Alvarez, who owns three titles, while another title belongs to Cuban boxer William Scull.
