Berinchyk Explains Loss to Davis in WBO Title Fight

Former WBO lightweight champion Denys Berinchyk from Ukraine shared his thoughts on his defeat to American Keyshawn Davis.

Denys Berinchyk
We are heading home from New York. As for the loss, I didn’t prepare properly for that fight. He was stronger that night. The only thing better than boxing is more boxing, so let’s move forward towards victory.

On February 15 in New York City, Davis knocked out Berinchyk in the fourth round, earning the WBO lightweight title.

Prior to this fight, Berinchyk had last been in the ring in May 2024, where he secured a split-decision victory over Emanuel Navarrete. His record stands at 19 wins (nine by knockout) and one loss.

Davis last fought in November 2024, where he defeated Gustavo Daniel Lemos by knockout in the second round. He currently boasts 13 wins (nine by knockout) with no losses.
