The guaranteed sum the undisputed super middleweight world champion Saul Alvarez can get for the fight against David Benavidez was named.
According to respected columnist Chris Mannix, Benavidez' representatives are willing to pay the Mexican $50 million if he shares the ring with the American boxer and puts his titles on the line.
Alvarez, 32, fought in May against John Ryder. That confrontation lasted the whole distance and ended in Saul's favor by a unanimous decision of the judges. He has 59 wins (39 by knockout), two draws and two losses.
Benavidez, 26, had his last fight in March, 2023, beating Caleb Plant by unanimous decision. He has 27 wins (23 by knockout) and no losses.
