Interim WBC super middleweight champion David Benavidez will fight WBA champion David Morrell in the fall.
Nathan Levkovich, promoter of Benavidez, told Fight Freaks Unite that the boxers already have an agreement.
Benavidez, 26, last fought in March 2023, defeating Caleb Plant by unanimous decision. He has 27 wins (23 by knockout) and no losses.
Morrell, 25, was last in the ring against Yamaguchi Falcão. In that fight, David won by TKO in the first round. He has nine wins (eight by knockout) and zero losses.
