Interim WBC light heavyweight World champion David Benavidez has announced that his next opponent will be Jesse Hart, not David Morrell, as previously reported.

Hart fought his last fight in April 2024, defeating Daniel Aduku by technical knockout in the fifth round. He has 31 wins (25 by knockout) and three defeats on his record.
