David Benavidez on DAZN Boxing
So right now we’re trying to negotiate the fight; it might be in the works for September. But we don’t know. You know everything in boxing is not 100%, so we’re just going to keep trying to negotiate the fight, and if it doesn’t happen, it doesn’t happen. But that’s the one we’re trying to make happen.
Bivol last fought against Artur Beterbiev in February this year. That match went the full distance, and Dmitry won by majority decision, becoming the undisputed champion in the light heavyweight division. His record now stands at 25 wins (12 by knockout) and one loss.
Benavidez last stepped into the ring against David Morrell in February this year. That fight also went the distance and ended in a unanimous decision win for the American. His record includes 30 wins (24 by knockout) and no losses.
