Former Bellator welterweight champion Ben Askren recalled his loss to famous blogger Jake Paul in a boxing bout.

The sad reality of the situation is that Jake Paul was a much better boxer than I expected. Boxing has never been my strong side. I hoped he sucked, I thought he'd hit me and it wouldn't hurt, he'd run out of steam, and I'd beat him. I made the wrong bet.
Askren and Paul met in the ring in April 2021. In this confrontation, which was stopped in the first round, Ben was defeated by knockout.
Askren last fought in MMA rules against Brazilian Demian Maia in October 2019 at UFC Fight Night 162. That fight ended in Ben's third-round choking submission.
