Renowned American promoter Bob Arum said that in the near future he will be ready to officially announce the fight between Devin Haney and Vasyl Lomachenko.

In October 2022, Haney had a rematch against George Kambosos, winning by unanimous decision. In June 2022, Haney also defeated Kambosos by unanimous decision. Devin, 24, has 29 wins (15 by knockout) and no losses.
Lomachenko had his last fight against American Jamaine Ortiz last October. In this fight, Vasyl won by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 17 wins (11 by KO) and two defeats.
