Former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis challenged former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva after his victory over Roy Jones Jr.
As you may recall, Pettis faced Jones in the ring on April 2 at Gamebred Boxing 4. Anthony won that fight by decision.
Anthony Pettis, quoted by Sherdog
I would have loved to have fought Anderson Silva. Our fight should have happened back in the UFC. But weight definitely matters to me, and I'm going to listen to my coaches. I don't care about the rules, I'm ready to fight.
Silva had his last fight against famous blogger Jake Paul in October 2022. In that encounter, Anderson was defeated by unanimous decision.
