Two-time heavyweight world champion British boxer Anthony Joshua sharply criticized his compatriot, Tyson Fury, who is set to fight Ukrainian Alexander Usyk on May 18.
Boxingnews24 quotes Joshua as saying:
I don't want to say, I feel like everybody's going to be asking me about Fury-Usyk. I don't want to sound like a hater. I don't really respect Fury because of all the things he says. Fury says a lot, yeah, so that's why I want him to get his jaw cracked.
The 34-year-old Joshua's last fight was against Otto Wallin in December 2023 in Saudi Arabia. In that bout, Anthony secured a victory by technical knockout in the fifth round. He has 27 wins (24 by knockout) and three losses to his name.
The 35-year-old Fury's last fight was against Francis Ngannou in October 2023. In that contest, Tyson claimed victory by a split decision of the judges. He has 34 wins (24 by knockout), one draw, and no losses.
