Undisputed world champion in the super middleweight division, Mexican Saul Alvarez named the payment for which he would agree to fight David Benavidez.

[If] one promoter who I work [with], they come and say I offer to you 150-200 million, I [will] fight tomorrow. That's the only reason [why] I'd fight with him," journalist Michael Benson quoted Alvarez as saying on his social media page.
Alvarez last entered the ring for a fight in September 2023 against Jermell Charlo. In this confrontation, Saul won by unanimous decision of judges. He has 60 wins (39 by knockout), two losses and two draws.
Benavidez last fought against Demetrius Andrade in November 2023. In that fight, David won by technical knockout as a result of his opponent's refusal to continue the fight. Benavidez has 28 wins (24 by knockout) and no losses.
