Algerian Boxer Khelif Sues Musk, Trump, and Rowling Over Criticism of Her Olympic Performance

Algerian boxer Imane Khelif, who won a gold medal in the women's 66kg boxing category at the 2024 Olympics, has filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk, Donald Trump, and author J.K. Rowling for their criticism of her performance.

Her attorney, Nabil Boudi, stated that Khelif has faced "acts of severe cyber harassment." The complaint has been submitted to the Internet Hate Crime Center at the Paris prosecutor's office. Additionally, former U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump is set to be a subject of the investigation.

J.K. Rowling described one of Khelif's bouts as a show where "a man beating a woman in public for your entertainment". Billionaire Elon Musk supported American swimmer Riley Gaines' view that Khelif's participation in the women's boxing tournament, after failing a gender test, is unacceptable.
