Akhmadaliev Expects Support from Turki Alalshikh to Get Inoue Fight

Murodjon Akhmadaliev, the holder of the interim WBA title in the super bantamweight division, hopes that Turki Alashikh, the chairman of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, will assist him in finally stepping into the ring against the undisputed world champion Naoya Inoue.

Murodjon Akhmadaliev for The Ring
My team has a great relationship with Turki Alalshikh. Yes, I noticed that Inoue had Riyadh Season [branding] on his ring attire for his last fight. So, it gives me some hope because I know that if ‘His Excellency’ (Alalshikh) wants something, he gets it. He wants the best fights and there is no better fight at 122 than me and Inoue.

Inoue last fought against Ye Joon Kim on January 24 in Tokyo, Japan. Naoya won by knockout in the fourth round, retaining his title as the undisputed world champion. His record stands at 29 wins (26 by knockout) and no losses.

Akhmadaliev last entered the ring against Ricardo Espinoza in December 2024. That fight, which was stopped in the third round, ended in favor of Murodjon by technical knockout. He has a record of 13 wins (10 by knockout) and one loss.
