51-Year-Old Ike Ibeabuchi Set to Return to the Ring After 25 Years

Former WBC International heavyweight champion Ike Ibeabuchi, 51, is set for a boxing match on December 7 in Nigeria against Egyptian fighter Ayman Abbas.

According to BoxingScene, Ibeabuchi has not competed in the ring for 25 years. In 1999, he began serving a 16-year prison sentence for rape. His last fight took place on March 20, 1999, against future champion Chris Byrd, where Ibeabuchi won by technical knockout in the fifth round. His professional record has 25 victories (15 by knockout) with no losses.

Abbas has a record of 10 wins and one loss.
