Bronny James, son of famous basketball player LeBron James, will continue his career after surviving cardiac arrest, the player's family said in a statement.
James' family spokesperson, quoted by ESPN
He was diagnosed with anatomically and functionally significant Congenital Heart Defect which can and will be treated. We are very confident in Bronny’s full recovery and return to basketball in the very near future.
In late July, 18-year-old Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest during practice. The player was immediately hospitalized. Two days later after the basketball player's condition improved, he was discharged from the hospital.
Bronny James started basketball practice at a private school in Los Angeles. The statement from the player's family also includes a request for the media to respect their privacy. In addition to this, the statement mentions continued reporting on the health of the athlete.
