As reported by Telegram channel First Sport, the NBA team Los Angeles Lakers have selected 19-year-old Bronny James, the son of legendary forward LeBron James, in the 2024 draft.
It was revealed on June 13 that the NBA granted medical clearance to the 19-year-old son of the Lakers' leader to participate in the 2024 draft. In July 2023, Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest during training and was hospitalized for several days.
The Los Angeles-based team picked LeBron's son in the second round of the 2024 draft with the 55th pick. It will be the first time in NBA history that a father and son will play for the same team.
On June 25, there were reports that the Lakers might sign a new three-year contract with the 39-year-old team leader.
