According to journalist Shams Charania, 32-year-old American guard Kyrie Irving, who plays for the Dallas Mavericks, has undergone knee surgery due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

Dallas Mavericks All-Star Kyrie Irving underwent successful surgery to repair his torn left ACL on Wednesday at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. The surgery was performed by HSS Chief of Sports Medicine, Dr. Riley J. Williams.

Kyrie Irving has played 14 seasons for 4 teams, including the Cavaliers and Nets. He has averaged 23.7 points, 5.6 assists and 4.1 rebounds in 779 regular-season games.
