Nikola Jokic, a 30-year-old Serbian basketball player playing as a center for the NBA's Denver Nuggets, has achieved an unprecedented milestone for his position in league history.
He has entered the NBA record books as the first center to complete a season averaging a triple-double per game. He now sits alongside legendary players like Russell Westbrook and Oscar Robertson, who achieved a similar feat before him.
Jokic was previously nominated for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award for the season. He received this honor in the 2023/24 season for the third time in his career. The voting to determine the MVP title holder will commence immediately after the regular season.
