Magic Johnson, a five-time NBA champion with the Los Angeles Lakers, became the fourth athlete in history to earn one billion dollars.
Johnson ended his professional sports career in 1996 after spending 13 years with the same club.
According to Forbes, Johnson reached the financial milestone that had previously only been achieved by golfer Tiger Woods and other basketball legends Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Johnson's account has $1.2 billion dollars.
