The incident happened before his team’s regular season game against the Qingdao Doublestar. The game ended with a score of 103-90 in favor of Guangzhou's opponents.
The situation came to light after the player's girlfriend posted a video on social media. As a result of this incident, the management of Guangzhou has suspended Xingliang for several matches.
