A pair of 27-year-old Contender Series graduates clash in the prelims of UFC Austin. Rodolfo Bellato, a Brazilian with huge prospects in the game, will debut against Ihor Potiera after earning a spot in the UFC via the DWCS route. The pair of light heavyweights had astounding records before signing for the UFC. However, Ukrainian Potieria has had a bruising time in his early matches in the promotion. The debutant Bellato is the favorite ahead of the encounter in Texas.

Rodolfo Bellato
Failing to win a place in the UFC roster following a loss to Vitor Petrino in the 2022 edition of the Dana White Contender Series, Rodolfo Bellato signed to the LFA and quickly won the light heavyweight title. He returned to the Contender Series to score a second-round stoppage last October and earn his place with the elite. 11-2 as a pro, his nemesis Vitor Petrino accounts for the two losses.

Ihor Potieria
The Ukrainian debuted in the UFC last year after grabbing a place on the roster with a ground-and-pound victory in the 2021 DWCS. The 1-2 in the promotion since then, with a solitary win over Mauricio Rua last January, is indicative of the tough start to a UFC career the Ukrainian has been having. Ihor Potieria has not gone the distance in his three fights in the promotion. His last appearance in the Octagon was a July setback against Carlos Ulberg.
