Louisiana native Regis Progais defends his WBC Super Lightweight Championship for the first time when he clashes with once-defeated challenger Danielito Zorrilla at the King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Prograis, who moved to Texas after Hurricane Katrina, is ranked the world's best active super lightweight by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, The Ring magazine, and BoxRec. The champ who knocked out Jose Zepeda in November 2022 to win the title was originally billed to defend the 140-pound title against Liam Paro, who withdrew due to injury last month.
