Two top ten Lightweights on an upward trajectory in the promotion will headline UFC Fight Night Vegas 79. The number six ranked Lightweight, Rafael Fiziev, who recently lost his winning streak in his last fight, will look to get back to the win column when he clashes with Polish southpaw Mateusz Gamrot. The oddsmakers have given the Azerbaijani Rafael Fiziev the edge in early odds. UFC Vegas is held at the Apex on Saturday night.

Rafael Fiziev
The 30-year-old Kazakhstan-born Azerbaijani saw his six-fight winning run halted by Justin Gaethje back in March. A Muay Thai proponent and experienced kickboxer, Rafael Fiziev has competed professionally in both sports. Rafael Fiziev will be aiming for a tenth career finish in this headliner. He has earned either a Fight of the Night or a Performance of the Night accolade in his last six visits to the octagon. Not much of a wrestler, the stand-up specialist has excellent takedown defense, which makes him very difficult to defeat.
