The Oklahoma City Thunder (20-5) visit the Orlando Magic, looking to get the disappointment of losing the NBA Cup finals out of the system as quickly as possible. The Magic (17-11) has everything to do against a high-flying OKC Thunder that leads the Western Conference standings, whereas Orlando is 4th in the East but has lost two consecutive games. OKC Thunder is a huge favorite of the oddsmakers to win the game and continue their incredible winning run in the league.

Orlando Magic
The Orlando Magic have had one win in four and lost their last two games to the Milwaukee Bucks and New York Knicks, respectively. Playing at home against the Knicks side eliminated from the NBA Cup, the Orlando Magic fell to a 100-91 defeat. Moritz Wagner led the Magic with a career-high 32 points, while rookie Tristan da Silva also hit a career-high 20 points. The loss was Orlando’s first home-court defeat of the season, bringing their record at the Kia Center to 10-1 this season. In an uncharacteristic performance at home, the Magic were turned over 12 times in the first half and made only 9 of 30 3-pointers. Last week, the Magic were knocked out of the NBA Cup by the Milwaukee Bucks, losing their quarterfinal game 114-109. The Magic played that game missing key players.
I think, for the most part, we got good looks. When you're playing a good team, you must continually generate good looks and make shots. I feel like that was just one of those nights. Defensively, I thought we were pretty good. Sometimes, it just doesn't go in, and you must have enough will to keep doing the right thing, move the ball, and let the chips lay where they lay.
OKC Thunders
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma Thunder were uncharacteristically inefficient as the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Thunder in Tuesday’s NBA Cup finals. In a season-low performance across multiple areas, the Thunder hit low points, low field goals, and 3-pointers. Superstar Gilgeous-Alexander was 8-of-24 from the field and 2-of-9 from the 3-point range, and still was the best player in the Thunder side that had no other player making multiple 3s. The OKC Thunder are at the top of the Eastern Conference standings, and the loss to the Bucks was the first defeat of the Thunder in five games. Coach Mark Daigneault has promised that his team will learn from the setback.
We missed some shots that we normally make. They do a good job of crashing down in the paint, and we got some easy ones early and then just missed some open [3s] that could have spread them out, bring them out of the paint a little bit. At the end of the day, you need a couple to go in if you're going to win at a high level.
