Submission queen Mackenzie Dern will square off with former UFC Women's Strawweight champion and the only woman in UFC to win a fight in three weight classes, Jessica Andrade, on the main card of UFC 295. While this will be Mackenzie's second fight of the year, Jessica Andrade will get into the Octagon for the fifth time in 2023 in a record-equaling feat for the most fights in a calendar year in the UFC. The Brazilian-American BJJ practitioner is 2-2 in the promotion in her last four fights. With two Fight of the Night awards from the last four, Mackenzie Dern has found the going tough against opponents above her in the rankings. Currently ranked at number seven in the 115-pound class, the 2018 UFC debutant, who has the most submission wins in the UFC women's Strawweight division, comes into this fight off a decision over Angela Hill last May. The Brazilian comes into this matchup on a three-fight losing skid. All the losses have come by way of stoppages - two submissions and a KO to Xiaonan. Her solo win of 2023 was a decision over Lauren Murphy in January.
